Halloween Mix Up
It was like any other October night; the air was crisp and light, a hint of cold on its breath. Skadia stood over her cauldron mixing clockwise. She mumbled a few words as she went over the recipe again. The mix was almost done, and it was going to be the talk of the town. Each year she made a spiced pumpkin ale and gave it out to the community, anyone who wanted some was more than welcome. It brought her pride, and the others looked forward to it. This year she had been working on making it the best its ever been. Within the last few moments a thought struck her—one final thing to make it perfect. She pulled her robes up off her ankles and hurried off to the cabinet.
While her back was turned her beloved fur babies decided to help her. Anya, a great black cat with golden eyes watched from her perch up in the rafters. Her eyes followed as the youngest of the three fur children strutted over to the cauldron. “Snowfire, you shouldn’t be near

PWYW Commission - A Haunting
“This house is going to be it Jake, we’ll flip this one and everything will start getting so much better.” The gray fennic fox draped her arms around her fiancee. She sighed happily and nuzzled into his warm fur. The German Shepherd wrapped one arm around his mate and sucked in a deep breath. The scent of the old house filled his nostrils. It was going to take a lot of work.
Sense the two had gotten together they had dreamed of flipping houses, now that Jake stepped down from his job they seen the opportunity to do what they had always wanted to do. “You bet baby. I can’t wait to get started.” He licked her head. The two entered the empty house. Much of it was falling apart and a lot needed updating, but they got it for a good price. Well, good enough for what it was. Almost too good. When they asked the realtor why it had been on the market for so long, the cat shifted and looked around before telling them it was just a s

Rise from the Grave - Magic the Gathering FanFic
The Litch rose up before the woman, his crown of ice framing his dead skull. His armor creaked with each step he took towards her, and the cold rolled off of his frame in waves, chilling the air around him and freezing anything he came into contact with. The tip of his frozen blade dug a thin trench through the earth as he moved forward. The ice king’s horde roared behind him, and as their maws opened a blue glow illuminated the sky.
The age-old Litch stopped. Both feet squared and with a single hand he raised his two handed ice blade to the sky. Behind his helmet his eyes glowed as the waves of chill turned into waves of magic. The undead leader roared into the sky and a rumble followed his call.
Miles away the earth split in half, ice and rock crumbling and shattering as the magic took effect. From under the earth rose a beast. In its glory day it was a great dragon, but now after time and death had ate away most of the flesh the creatu

Land Ho-Part One
The high noon sun baked down on the bone white ship. The Esmeralda cut through the calm sea water, heading straight for land. The crew had been at sea since their rescue of Nina, and they were all getting a bit crowded. The salty breeze wafted fresh air across the open ship and all of the crew were basking in its arrival.  Even those who had been up for the night shift took it all in as land got closer.
Calico walked up to where Loki still stood, his massive paws gripped the helm. "You know, you should get some sleep."
The massive cat grinned at her. His eyes looked tired but very alive all at the same time. He kept the ship on its course toward their resting destination. He wouldn't be able to sleep even if he tried. "I wouldn't miss this for something as silly as sleep." He chuckled as he straightened up against the wind. His mane ruffling and catching little bits of sea salt.

Adventures of Calico - rescue mission
"That should shut yer yap, dog." A loud metal clank was heard as an iron muzzle was fitted over the werewolf's snout. A man stood before the beast, his blond hair almost the same color as his skin in the torchlight. He sneered as the creature struggled, his perfect teeth catching the same flickering light. "You have done enough damage to my trade route mutt," He looked the beast up and down one more time. "Or to be more precise, Bitch."
A deep growl rumbled in the creature's chest. A deep grey, almost black fur covered its entire body. No markings distracted you from the glimmer of the color. Her lips were curled back but her jaw was kept tightly locked shut by the heavy gage muzzle. Her breasts heaved on her chest with every breath and her limbs were spread wide and tied down. Heavy metal kept her from moving more than just a few muscles. One of her leg clamps was already making her legs bleed. This contraption was made for humans, not anthro creatures.

The Wolves of Russia Part 1
The Wolves of Russia
Most of the citizens lived in the massive cities of Russia. With their elaborate, castle-like buildings. Not all though. One girl who traveled to the city but never found her own place there lived out in the rolling, farmlands of the massive country. She was still too young to have her own farm, but even that wasn't her dream. She wanted adventure.
Her small adventures into the larger city always got her excited, but after the forests were behind her, her excitement always faded. The city wasn't the kind of adventure she really wanted. She did however meet some interesting people there. Like today. She was browsing through the tiny book store they had, all the covers were well loved and sometimes they would have a few of those well-loved books for sale for a copper. While she didn't have a job, her parents gave her a few coins after the harvest season for all of her help.

A Pirate’s Life for Me
A “When Magic Ends” short.
“Drat!” A shrill voice echoed through the cobble stone laced alleyway. However, her voice was barely audible over the clang of a tin trash bin that danced in front of a small dark skinned girl. Her braids clacked as her feet reunited with the solid ground below. “You know Mr. Cat, it’s not nice to scare people.” She said in a matter of fact way.
The under-weight tuxedo marked cat looked at her then licked his paw. A soft voice gently echoed in the small child’s head. “I am sorry dark human, it was not my intention, I assure you.” His voice was heavy and sultry. Just what one would expect from the tom.
“It’s alright Mr. Cat. I could use the company.” The frail young girl had an accomplished look on her face as she plucked half a stale loaf of bread from one of the upright trash bins.

Between Heaven and Hell Chapter 3
It was as if she didn’t even sleep that night. Sharlotte had noticed that ever sense that fate changing night she had in fact been sleeping less and less. That fact however, made very little difference in her daily life. Even short power naps made her feel as if she had been sleeping for a full night of well rested sleep. She carefully eased herself out from under Krissy. The angel didn’t even stir.
A few moments later Shar found herself on her well-loved balcony. It faced east and most mornings brought forth the most beautiful of sunrises. Today was one of those days. Rays of every color danced across the early morning sky. Hues of blues, purples, and reds were graced by bright yellows and deep oranges. It was a breathtaking sight no matter who you were.
Shar was so engulfed with the view she never even heard a sleepy Taylor shuffle her way out onto the balcony. “It’s beautiful.” Taylor’s soft voice broke the silence, making Shar jump slightly. The

Anyone going to Indy Fur con next month? I'll be releasing an at con only short.

Well, I'm not dead, just dealing with a lot, so have a review while I work on fursuits and life.

Daughter of the Bright Moon by Lynn Abbey

This novel was published in 1979, and Lynn Abbey’s first published work. It was also nominated for the “Locus Award” for Best Fantasy Novel.

In a world where men rule and women are expected to be just that, ladies, Rifkind won her freedom, her war-horse, and her own sword. She is a healer who has been graced by the power of her moon goddess. Her destiny well decided for her, she must travel, with her only trusted friend Turin her war-horse, to a new world were and evil sorcerer controls the land.

I’ll try to keep my actual review on this short. It will as always have minimal spoilers if any at all and will be one hundred percent my own opinions. To start off, I will say that I greatly enjoyed this book. It took me about a week to finish and I enjoyed every moment of it. Even to the point where I was sneaking in a few pages even while on the bus on my way to my day job.

I’m going to start off with my biggest gripes about the book, and while I do so, I must keep in mind how old this one is. Yeah sure forty years doesn’t sound like a long time, but it is for a book, and how they have evolved sense then. Some of the writing was a bit confusing, lacking some words that would have been in newer books. A few places where I found myself going back to get the full picture of things and set ups. The battle’s were especially this way for me. I also felt it lacking a bit more background information that I would have personally preferred. It speaks of events that were normal for this woman’s tribe but yet they meant little to be because I felt like I was missing why they were important to her.

Now let’s move on to the things I enjoyed about it, and why you should really read this one. First off, the leading lady is amazing. Far from flawless but to headstrong to need any man. Speaking of, a bit of a spoiler here, I was so happy to see the two main characters stay friends and not hook up. Truly that in itself is an amazing point. Another aspect that truly made me enjoy this book was the research put into the main secondary character, Turin, the War-horse. Lynn made a world that was so well thought out that you understood how the powers worked within it. I always appreciate that.

While it may be a bit harder to find, for sure snag yourself a copy. Great Characters, kick ass woman who can hold her own, and a beautiful world to set it all in.
